Every season as the world’s top stylists and fashion editors get ready to watch the new collections hit the runway I’m like a hyper child at Christmas! Yes, I love my fashion but I’m even more excited to see the new season beauty trends emerge and find out what products the big brands are using to create these looks.

Like every trend there are some crazy ones that just aren’t practical - bright blue eye lids anyone? - but it’s always great to see what the world’s best makeup artists are creating back stage and where possible use it to inspire my own work and personal makeup style.

This season I’ve decided to share the Top 4 beauty trends that I’m loving for you to try out at home, with a product recommendation for each. You mix up your wardrobe every season with some beautiful new pieces so why not do the same to your makeup bag! It’s so worth it.

This is an eyeliner trend you will see everywhere this season. It’s not about big flicks and dramatic winged liner but more about focusing on a thin band emphasising the natural shape of the eye. Then a delicate wing at the sides to elongate the eyes.

My favourite: Inglot No.77 with The Angle brush from my Essentials Brush Set

It's all about a fresh sheen and sunkissed skin, creating a more natural look on the skin which I love. The ethos of this trend was one of the main inspirations behind my Sculpted Rose Gold Palette. The Cream Highlighter is vital for creating this look, which really suits everyone.

Who doesn’t love to see some glitter! Pop some onto your hand or palette first and apply with a small brush or finger, rather than the applicator, so you're not twinkling to the stars. Focus on applying lightly to the tear duct to really pop the eye or across the lid for a real glamorous look.

Move over lipstick, lipgloss is back! I have been wearing gloss a lot lately, especially soft nude shades. One gloss I’m really enjoying is the Dealz Ballet Pink, for just €1.50! It’s a soft nude shade and although it’s sticky I really like it because I find it tends to last longer on the lips. I also don't wear gloss all of the time so I like to not spend to much on them incase they got lost in the depths of my handbag,

Recommended product: Dealz Ballet Pink

I’d love to see if you’ve tried any of these new beauty trends out at home! DM me a picture or share it on social giving me or Sculpted by Aimee Connolly a tag.
